Lowrance Marine Electonics Make Boating Safer

If you enjoy offshore sport fishing and boating then you’ve more than likely heard of Lowrance technology. They have grown to be a leader in manufacturering GPS, Sonar, depth finders, chartplotters and fishfinders. Lowrance electronics has definitely become one of the best known brands in marine electronics among commercial fishermen and boating enthusiasts of all types because of the wide selection of products they feature.

Having lived for years on the Jersey Shore, I’ve spent many hours on the ocean and bays. In those times, looking for fish was more luck then skill on any given day. However at present that’s all changed.

If you like sportfishing, you would be interested in Lowrance Marine fish finders. They are equipped with dual frequency sonar, 480 X 480 resolution, up to 2500 feet depth penetration, along with other advanced capabilities. Fish Finders are also available in the big screen monochrome displays. Lets admit it, if you’d like to “hook” the big ones, you must be able to find them first. The modern fishfinder and combo units do a great job. The well-known fishing and boating kits come in a large variety of sizes, prices and colors matching distinctive needs. Nowadays you’ll see fishfinders and combo units on everything from huge fishing trawlers to small bass boats.

What I definitely value when sailing even just in the bays and rivers is the Marine GPS. Marine GPS is easily one of the most popular GPS types and Lowrance Marine GPS is at the top part of the list. The Lowrance GPS antenna is built-in on most of their GPS enabled systems so set up and use is effortless. Many an occasion I had to offer up lame excuses for being late for dinner time because I sailed too far. My kids can’t get away with that today because they always know precisely where they are.

One step beyond common GPS is the Marine GPS chartplotter, that can help you stay on the course. Chartplotters can also offer you advance information about the buoys as well as the tides. They can also be great for understanding the weather and may provide you with the sonar and radar images.

When you consider the wide range of commercial grade products on the market today, it simply makes good sense to add new Lowrance marine systems to what ever type of boat you own.
